Annual Convention
WELCOME STARS OF AMERICA AUGUST 17-20
An exceptional amount of effort has already gone into the planning for the Annual Colorado-Wyoming District Convention to be held in Pueblo August 17-20. From the golfing outing on Thursday, through officer-elect training and a first-timer’s reception to the ubiquitous Governor’s Roast, this gathering is shaping up to be one of the more exciting efforts.
Gov. Elect Sherman Phillips has scoured the membership for experienced, talented optimists to conduct training in a variety of fields because he knows that the best way to kick off a new
administration is with club officers who are prepared to hit the ground running.
Have a partner? Bring him/her along, because there is NO partner registration fee and the Pueblo Chamber of Commerce is going all out offering Two-For-One pricing on lots of events just for Optimists.
Come see. A highlight of any visit would be the guided tour of Rosemont, an elegant Victorian home and now museum. Or take the River Walk, visit the zoo or any number of art centers and museums. See page 10 for activities suggestions, and pick up more at check-in!
