Our Heather Gardens Optimist Club has recently adopted Yale Elementary School and we invite all residents and friends to attend our first annual A Nite at the Races®. Join us for a fun evening on Saturday, April 1st 2017 at 6:00 pm the Rendezvous Restaurant and Bar.
Really, it’s not an April Fool’s joke, we need your help to raise money to buy at least 10 Chromebook tablet computers for the students at Yale Elementary School in Aurora. Many of us have grandchildren who use school supplied tablet computers in school and at home for homework assignments. Yale Elementary does not have enough funding for each student to have a tablet to use.
Come with your friends and wager on your favorite pony in each of our 8 races all called by a professional track announcer and broadcast on the big screen. Admission is $15.00 per person and two for $25.00; each person gets funny money to place bets at the ticket windows at the ‘Rendezvous Race Track’ for all 8 races.
Learn about the Optimist partnership from the school’s Principal, Andrew Brueckner and about opportunities to sign up and volunteer to help students and teachers at the school.
Horse Racing starts at 6:00 p.m. at the Rendezvous Restaurant and Bar, 2888 Heather Gardens Way, Aurora, CO. 80014. The Restaurant is open to the public so come early and enjoy a special Race Track Buffet for $10.99, order from the menu, or just come for the A Nite at the Races®.
