Robert (Bob), 85, passed away on February 2, 2017 in Denver, Colorado.

Bob served the Colorado Wyoming Optimist District as Outstanding and Distinguished Governor from 1976-1977  and served Optimist International as OI Vice President 1983-1984.  His contribution to the Optimist organization and his many years of working with and for the kids in our community will be long remembered.

He is survived by his wife Myrna of 59 years, daughter Diane (Joe) Berry of Centennial, CO, son Paul (Joan) Fretz of Dillon, CO and brother Tom (JoAnn) Fretz of Peoria, Arizona. Grandchildren Cayla & Madison Berry, Zach, Chelsey, & Eric Fretz, two nieces and two nephews.

A celebration of Bob’s life will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Kirk of Bonnie Brae, 1201 S. Steele St., Denver, CO 80210; reception to follow. A private committal service at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Denver, Colorado.

In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to the following organizations: Denver Hospice, Project Angel Heart, Denver Rescue Mission, American Cancer Society, or charity of choice.
